Baptism Day!

The highlight of summer 2011 has been John's Baptism. We are so proud of the good choices he has made in his life. My handsome boys getting ready for the big event.

And we were glad the whole family could be there. Jessica got home just in time that morning from Girls Camp!

Ashley's Baptism

Today was a special day. Ashley was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was a beautiful program and we felt the Spirit so strong. It was wonderful that her Dad was able to confirm her and give her the gift of the Holy Ghost. We are so proud of the good choices Ashley makes and that she chose to be baptized. We were so glad for the friends and family that were able to attend and help participate.

The ward provided this beautiful dress for her to wear into the font to be baptized so she didn't have to wear a jumpsuit.

We had bought her this beautiful dress to wear after the baptism. But I just realized the only picture we got of her wearing this dress today was with the whole family. So here is the picture of the dress when we first purchased it. We'll have to take pictures tomorrow when she wears it to church.

Ashley's Baptism Dress

Is it bad luck to show the baptism dress before the baptism? Hope not, because Ashley's dress is soooo beautiful I just could not wait to share. And we told her she could wear the dress on Easter (a month before the baptism) since we didn't want to buy two new dresses at once. She looks like a little angel in it. The pictures don't show all the detail on the dress, but here are a couple pics to enjoy. Her baptism is going to be April 26th, 2008 at 10 am.
